Call for papers: Early medieval pottery, 6th June, Doncaster

CALL FOR PAPERS: MPRG CONFERENCE 2015 - 6th June, Doncaster Museum.

The 2015 Medieval Pottery Research Group (MPRG) conference will be on the theme of early medieval (4th-11th century) pottery.

Offers of papers are welcome from any period within this time frame and any geographical area. Themes could include, but need not be limited to:
•The Roman/Early Medieval transition
•Pottery production
•Regional studies
•Changes in pottery consumption
•Pottery trade and imports
•Applications of archaeological theory to the study of early medieval pottery
•The transition from Early to High medieval pottery

A title and short abstract for a paper (to last no longer than 20 minutes) should be sent to the conference organisers Ben Jervis & Lyn Blackmore (jervisb@cardiff.ac.uk) 1st February.
