the Fondazione Archivio Fotografico Roberto Donetta

the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research WSL (
wsl.ch) and the Institute of Earth Sciences of the University of Applied
Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland SUPSI (supsi.ch/ist) are pleased
to invite you to the International workshop “Landscape study with
Historical Photographs through Monoplotting”, to be held on 27-28 June 2014
at the Casa Rotonda in Corzoneso (Switzerland).
The workshop will be devoted to landscape relevant topic such as land use
change, forest evolution, urbanization, glacier dynamics, natural hazards
(avalanches, landslides, etc.), restoring of traditional landscapes, etc.
Participants will have the opportunity to present and discuss aspects
related to the use of historical photographs in the study of the landscape
dynamics, including three keynotes (Friday 27th June) and test the WSL
Monoplotting Tool developed at WSL (Saturday 28th June). For detail see
www.wsl.ch/monoplotting.
We welcome researchers, professional and enthusiasts of all environmental
disciplines and backgrounds, and in particular to:
· forest engineers
· geographers
· geologists and geomorphologists
· archaeologists
· historians
· curious and interested
