GEOPHYSICAL PROSPECTION METHODS IN ARCHAEOLOGY
Interpretation and comparison analysis of magnetometer and georadar data
GENERAL INFORMATION
Workshop open to student applicants will take place in Lithuania, organized by the Institute of Baltic Region History and Archaeology of Klaipėda University http://briai.ku.lt/ within the Arcland project http://www.archaeolandscapes.eu/.
The aim of the workshop is to give students general understanding on application of geophysical prospection methods (magnetometer and georadar) in Iron Age – Early Medieval settlement sites and interpretation/comparison of data.
The workshop will make use of a team of 4 experts from Germany and Lithuania to provide students with overview on potential of above mentioned geophysical prospection methods in archeology.
Accomodation and meals for participants of the workshop will be provided free of any charge. Travel costs are at the responsibility of student participants.
The number of students is limited to 12, registration deadline is 16 March 2015.
