AUTUMN SCHOOL
Detecting Cultural Landscape in Mediterranean Archaeology (DeCLaMA)
TERRE DEL CHIANTI - SEPTEMBER 17th- 22nd 2012
The combination "landscape-archeology" represents a great opportunity for
economic and social development. This perspective formed the idea of this
course. The traces of the historical land use represent the main elements in
the Mediterranean Cultural Landscape, characterized by the same variety and
beauty of the archaeological and architectural heritage, but poor known.
The course is aimed to give the tools for discovering and preserving the
Cultural Landscapes, working towards their analysis and evaluation mainly in
archaeological areas, proposing an innovative perspective of management by a
multidisciplinary approach, involving botanists, archaeologists,
geographers, land managers and architects.
